Intrastate

- I
need approximately 5 ton of gravel for my driveway. Will Star
Line deliver to my house?
Yes, we are able to make residential deliveries. It is important
to understand that our dump trucks are heavy and can do damage
to an asphalt or concrete driveway. On a gravel driveway you
still have to be concerned about culverts. If you have an asphalt
or concrete driveway we can dump the load at the driveway without
driving on it. For gravel driveways, we can dump or spread the
load on your driveway if the owner agrees there is no or little
damage risk of any kind. We are not responsible for any damaged
caused by our trucks. The owner must be present to agree to accept
all risks.
All residential deliveries are COD and a personal check or cash
will be collected before the driver dumps the load. Total cost
will include material and trucking plus tax. You will be quoted
a price when you call in.
- Do you have a dump site for dirt,
clay, concrete, asphalt, etc.?
Star Line does not have a dump site; however, we can find a dump site for your
material. For clean concrete or asphalt there may be no charge, but for dirt
and
clay there is usually a dump charge.
- Does Star Line
always have trucks available and how much of an advance do
I need to give you to order trucks?
Star Line hauls bulk material for many customers. Some of these customers order
trucks everyday. Our fleet is separated into 2 groups, intrastate (local
hauling)
and interstate (serving the Midwest).
For interstate hauling we usually
stay busy throughout the year. For intrastate hauling
our busy season is from
May to November. However, we are always looking for new customers and would welcome
your call at any time of the year for both intrastate and interstate hauling.
- I need to order
a truck, but I'm not sure if my loader will reach over the
side of the dump box. How high is it to the top of the box?
If your loader can make it over 11 feet, you should be able to get over most
dump trucks. If not, ask if a lower sided truck is available.
- How much can a dump truck carry?
Approximately 15 yards or 22.5 tons.
